And Now for Something Completely Different… Today is time to talk about Music. Yes, not just music… we’re talking about Music. Because Summercase festival isn’t just the typical summer music festival. Is more than this, is one of most renowned music festivals that you can find along Europe. Make a note, this year it will be 18 and 19 of July.

Year after year, since 2006, they have been improving the organization, facilities and the quality of the bands and artists engaged. Last year they brought us the unique chance to watch the incredible shows of Chemical Brothers, PJ Harvey, Scissor Sisters and some more unforgettable bands.

For Summercase 2008 edition the list of acts is still not closed, but we already know most of the stars that will be playing, and in Tickets in Barcelona we love some of them:

• Sex Pistols: The kings of punk are back!! You can’t die without seeing a legend like them life.
• Grinderman: The alternate band of the music geniuos Nick Cave. They come to Spain from Australia to fulfill our needs of good rock music.
• Kings of Leon: One of the best contemporary rock bands. You can accuse them of being not original, of not doing anything Black Crowes didn’t do before… we just say that they sound great and rocks like no other nowadays.
• The verve: The mythical brit pop band, they need no introduction.
• Primal Scream: One of the few bands that kept the rock alive at nineties. Another legend.
• The Stranglers: One of the leaders of the new wave. Everybody still remember their hit “No more heroes”.
• The Breeders: One of the best bands of the grounge years. Unjustly forgotten, and always under the shadow of Nirvana, you should get some of their albums (if you don’t have) and listen carefully. They rock really well.

Those ones are some bands we emphasize, but together with them at Summercase Festival 2008 will be more artists, like Interpol, Kaiser Chiefs, Mogwai, spanish stars Los Planetas, Cornelius, Edwin Collins, The Raveonettes and more… to sum up, two days full of rock music in Barcelona, at the Parc del Fòrum venue. Summercase Festival 2008 takes place in Madrid too, at the same dates, and with the same list of acts. The bands play one night in Barcelona, and the next in Madrid, alternating the days of the show but with the same global list of acts.
