FC Barcelona club
FC Barcelona is the main football team in Barcelona city, Spain. It was founded in 1899, by the swedish Joan Gamper.
The club is widely known for it’s football team, one of the most important in Europe, but they have also three other professional sport sections: basketball, handball, hockey and futsal. All of them has won at least one european competition, adding up to 27 european cups.

One of it distinctive signs is the huge quantity of members and supporters. They are more than 150.000 membrs since 2006, for this reason becomes the second football club in the world in number of members. And more than 1.800 peñas (official supporter clubs) can be found all over the world.
First ever match
On the first football match played by Fc Barcelona they won 1-0 to a team made up of English expatriates in Bonanova. It became the first success in a long winner history.

They were the first team to win the spanish league competition (primera división) in 1928.
Champions League history don’t do justice to FC Barcelona, as they always been one of the best football teams in Europe but didn’t win their first cup until 1992 at Wembley legendary stadium. Since that moment they had never been proclaimed winners of this championship, the most important for a football club, due to they lost the two finals they played before.
Camp Nou stadium
Camp nou stadium is the home of FC Barcelona football team. It was built in 1957 with an original capacity of 93,053 people. The stadium has been remodeled several times, getting the current capacity of 98,787, all of them seated.
It is a UEFA five star stadium, and the biggest venue in Barcelona city. It hosted several Champions league finals, the inauguration of the 1982 World Cup, the football final of the 1992 Olympic Games and notable music shows of artists like Michael Jackson, U2, Bruce Springsteen or Frank Sinatra.

Besides the stadium can be found an official shop, a chapel for players and the FC Barcelona museum, with is the most visited museum in Catalonia, with about 1,200,000 visits every year.
