Sonar festival is one of the most important events of electronic music that you can find in Europe. They define themselfs as Annual festival of progressive music and multimedia arts in Barcelona, and since 1993 they have been bringing to Barcelona the best electronic and progressive shows that you can imagine.

Every year, about the middle of June, thousands of electronic arts lovers come to Barcelona to watch not only the music concerts, but the lectures and exhibitions organized, that deal about electronic music, multimedia art, video and cinema.

As 2007 edition, Barcelona Summercase festival will take place at Parc del Forum.

This venue is held at the eastern end of Avinguda Diagonal, the main street that runs across Barcelona city. The area —which lies by the sea— was developed to house the 2004 Forum de las culturas. It covers 30 hectares next to Barcelona Olympic port.

Yes, as you probably are thinking, this is the perfect place to host a summer music festival like summercase. 

How to arrive:

• By taxi: The taxi’s fare changes depending on the time (at night they are more expensive) and the distance between where you are and the Fórum. From the city centre to the Fórum the prices may vary between 9 and 11€ aprox.
• By train: Rodalies R.E.N.F.E. from Aeroport to Sants Estació, Passeig de Gràcia or Arc de Triomf.
• By bus: Lines 41, 43, 7, 36 and 141, and Night Bus N6
• By subway: Line 4 to La Pau or L1 to Marina and there link with tram to Fórum station.
• By tram: Trambesós line T4, to Fòrum
• By car: From Plaça de les Glòries, along Av. Diagonal towards the sea right to Parc del Fòrum.

The Queen is back in Barcelona city. After their successful last tour (2005/2006), Queen + Paul Rodgers are ready to rock europe again.

It will be 10/22/2008, at Palau Sant Jordi, one of the nicest venues in Barcelona. Built for the 1992 Olympic Games, designed by Arata Isozaki, is a perfect place to enjoy a big band like Queen. The 17.000 people that will pack the stadium will have an unforgettable night.

Their last tour has been immortalized with a double CD and a DVD,  and as you can see there seems that years don’t pass for Brian May and for Roger Taylor, that together with a great singer like Paul Rodgers are giving very powerful shows to all their fans.

Currently Queen + Paul Rodgers has finished a new studio album, The Cosmos Rocks, thar will be launched September 1st. We are all waiting for it, and for sure will be the previous to a new successful tour: Rock the Cosmos tour.

Daydream festival is one of the most important rock festivals in Barcelona, almost as Summercase (Summercase festival tickets). The English band published their last album, In Rainbows, at 2007, and will offer in 2008 only one conert in Spain, and will be at Daydream Festival. • The Stranglers: One of the leaders of the new wave. Everybody still remember their hit “No more heroes”.
• The Breeders: One of the best bands of the grounge years. Unjustly forgotten, and always under the shadow of Nirvana, you should get some of their albums (if you don’t have) and listen carefully. They rock really well.

Those ones are some bands we emphasize, but together with them at Summercase Festival 2008 will be more artists, like Interpol, Kaiser Chiefs, Mogwai, spanish stars Los Planetas, Cornelius, Edwin Collins, The Raveonettes and more… to sum up, two days full of rock music in Barcelona, at the Parc del Fòrum venue. Summercase Festival 2008 takes place in Madrid too, at the same dates, and with the same list of acts.
